Yes just like my profile says, I'm in love with droid right now. I was out there lining up in front of a verizon store early in the morning and what I got totally deserved it.
And call me crazy: I don't really want to let people see me with an iphone. I know apple loyalist will bash me for this: But I just don't want to be associated with anything branded as "the most in phone", especially when all those celebrities own one. My brand name is practical and best value for the money. Anything that is a little bit flashy compromises my principles... sorta...
Well back to droid. Everyone says it is a ugly iphone backed by google and verizon. Well it does not seem that ugly to me, guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. But I like it being a little bit square and less sleek. I like the robotic voice too.
Apart from the really subjective assessment of the design. I do have to say browsing internet is definitely a fun on the droid. I love using the voice recognition to browse, my clumsy fingers do minimal work to type/click to get what I want. Most times I just need to talk to my droid andd without lifting a finger get what I need. Youtube and other google sites integrate seamlessly with the browser and decrease the finger involvement even more.
The navigation and GPS is a blast. I do have concerns about the accuracy of the map sometimes. At least twice the navigation lead me to a less optimal route. Since google map has been around for a long time I do expect better from the droid.
Well I could keep going on with the droid. I may dedicate some more posts to it. Meanwhile I'm curious what phones everybody else own and what pros and cons you find in them. So take the survey and share your thoughts about it.
